Dr. Jessica A. McCaskill
Jessica McCaskill earned her bachelors degree in Biochemistry at Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. She then went on to a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. McCaskill practiced mixed animal medicine in rural southwestern Virginia before coming to North Carolina. She then practiced small animal medicine at a large hospital before making the decision to start her own practice here in Mocksville. In her spare time Dr. McCaskill enjoys riding her horses, spending time with her husband, Thomas, her dog, Emma and her two beautiful cats Karma and Bixby!
Dr. Sarah Little
Dr. Sarah Little graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After graduation, Dr. Little completed a one-year internship at Montana Equine Medical and Surgical Center in Three Forks, Montana. She then returned to North Carolina to practice medicine in Mocksville, NC before joining The Country Veterinary Hospital. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses and baking. She also loves spending time with her husband, Lance, her cat, Ferris Mueller and their two dogs, Moxie and Scout. We are so excited to have Dr. Little join our team!
Sara is a Davie County native and has been with The Country Veterinary Hospital for four years. She graduated from Catawba College with a Bachelors Degree in Management. She enjoys being outdoors with her boyfriend, Tyler and their two little boys, Jaxx and Hudson!
Melissa Swicegood is Dr. McCaskill's right-hand woman, with nine years of experience in veterinary care and assistance. A native of Davie County, Melissa now shares her free time with her adorable 7 year old, James, her 2 year old, Daniel, her husband, Michael, Stinkerbell, her kitty and four loving labs.
Amanda is a Virginia native and comes with nine years of veterinary experience. With a passion for all animals, she and her husband, Chris, share their farm in Winston-Salem with five horses, three dogs and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys showing horses, trail riding, reading and volunteering with The Summit Church.
Jessica is a Davie County native and brings 7 years of veterinary technician experience to our team. She graduated from Davie High School in 2010 and then went on to Gaston College where she graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medical Technician. She enjoys being outdoors with her fiance, Josh and her three dogs!
Meredith started working at The Country Veterinary Hospital in October of 2016. Meredith was a client of ours for several years and we really enjoyed her enthusiasm, love for animals and sweet personality. Meredith enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her fur family. She can't wait to greet your furry friends with open arms!
Customer Care/Nurse Assistant
Hannah is originally from Rhode Island and graduated from Stephens College with a Masters Degree in Business and a Bachelors Degree in Equine Studies. In addition to her time spent here, she also teaches riding lessons and trains horses. She enjoys riding horses and spending time outdoors with her sweet and spoiled dog Bella! She can't wait to get to know you and your pets!
Julie grew up in the heart of Woodleaf where her family owns Fleming Tomatoes. She brings 16 years of customer service to our team and 3 of those years being in a veterinary setting. She enjoys being outdoors, camping, fishing and reading. She has two dogs whom she adores spending time with. Rambo is a 6 year old black lab. Hallie is a 2 year old lab mix.
Chelsea is from Rural Hall and attended ECU in 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her toddler, Cayli, husband, Lewis and precious pit bull, Roxy. She will be working up front to meet your needs and greet your pets with open arms!
Carson grew up in the heart of Salisbury and she graduated from West Rowan High School in 2013. She has been working at The Country Veterinary Hospital since August of 2017. She has a soft spot in her heart for all dogs, but especially boxers. In her spare time, she enjoys watching the Carolina Panthers, listening to Bruno Mars and cooking!
